Mark Ginns

Mark starting his golfing journey in 1998, playing a variety of municipal courses a few years later he really got the bug for golf and joined Forest Hills Golf Club, after a short time he moved to Atherstone Golf Club and remained an active member there for over 5 years.

Mark has been a member at Hinckley for over 12 years and during this time he is proud to have won three Board Competitions – The Pairs Knockout, The Founders Prize and The Burbage Common Trophy in 2022, with Keith Gilbert – Vice Captain of the Seniors Section.

Mark is actively involved in both the men’s and mixed pairs sections at HGC and enjoys participating in both competitions and social golf regularly with his wife.

Mandy Clarke

Mandy was introduced to golf in 2018, after joining Amy's course, which proved to be addictive - she is still here!  Mandy became a member through the 'Ladies New to Golf' Scheme in 2019.  She really enjoys the friendly and welcoming environment of Hinckley Golf Club and has made some good friends.  Each year Mandy aims to improve her handicap - it doesn't happen but that's golf - frustrating at times and rewarding at other times!

John 'Knocker' Neave

John Neave (alias Knocker)..
Before joining Hinckley Golf Club in 2020 John played Squash for 40 years for Hinckley Squash Club ..as well as having a career in transport as a manager and HGV class 1 Driver spanning 40 years.. ..Joining Hinckley Golf Club. John has won  several board competitions and is involved in the men’s and the Mixed section Golf, He also runs the social events section with his wife, Shelagh and others. John has one son and two granddaughters who live in Surrey. Nocker ..



Golf Development Director

Steve White

Steve has been a member of Hinckley Golf Club for around 20 years with his main role looking after the development of players in all sections of the club.

Outside of golf, he works as an IT Manager in the world of commercial insurance, which brings with it a wealth of experience in commercial management.

One of his main goals at HGC is to grow the grass-roots side of the club, taking juniors as young as 5 through to 18, and allowing them to experience and develop their golfing skills to become valued members of the club.

Howard Wilkinson

Howard was born in Manchester 1954, he moved accross to Hull in 1987 and then to Burbage in 1991 and retired in 2019.  A football injury at 18 meant he had to find something else to play and decided to learn to pl ay golf - still learning at 70 !! He b ecame a member of Manchester Golf Club 1973, Hull Golf club and Hinckley Golf Club since 1991.   When not playing a round of golf, he enjoys gardening, walking and being with his  grandchildren

Paul Gerrard

Paul has been a member of Hinckley Golf Club for 5 years and was an ex-Conference Football League referee. Emanates from Stoke-on-Trent and moved to Leicestershire with work in 2007. Paul has just retired from the Cadent Gas company after 42 years of continuous service. Paul is married to wife Carolyne and between them have 4 children and 6 grandchildren. Likes: Standing on any golf tee and thinking, hell this is better than work! Hates: Broken tee pegs littering our tees and divots not replaced. Aim: To help move HGC forward and encourage more youngsters to engage with our sport.

Welfare Officer

Catherine Crisp

Catherine joined Hinckley Golf Club in 2022 as a newcomer to golf. With a professional background in Education, Catherine brings a wealth of experience to the role of Club Welfare Officer.

In this role, the continued development and promotion of a safe and inclusive Club environment for all, is a key priority. This includes safeguarding and securing a protective culture for all children, young people and vulnerable adults within the club. The Club welfare Officer is the first point of contact for any issues concerning child welfare, adults at risk, poor practice and potential or alleged abuse.
