A narrow fairway at the driving distance off the tee, missing this fairway makes it difficult to get back in position to make par. An ideal second should be positioned at the corner of the dogleg leaving a short wedge into the green, braver players can take this dogleg on but missing right or left can leave it difficult to escape with par.
